Evolmic Kids is operated by Cotechie (“Cotechie,” “we,” “us”). Evolmic Kids provides math and English practice sets for children ages 4–12, used directly by children under the supervision of a parent or guardian (“Parent”) who creates and manages the account.
This policy explains what information we collect across Evolmic Kids, how we use it, and the specific protections that apply to children’s information under the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws elsewhere.
From the Parent (account holder): name, email address, and authentication data (password, or Google sign-in identifier); if you subscribe, billing details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe — we do not receive or store your full card number.
Child profile information, provided by the Parent: a first name or nickname, an avatar chosen from a fixed emoji set, date of birth (used only to tailor age-appropriate content and is never shown publicly), assigned subjects/levels, and a 4-digit PIN the Parent sets so their child can switch into their own profile on a shared device.
Practice activity: which sets a child completes, scores, and timestamps — used to power progress tracking on the Parent’s dashboard and to suggest the next skill to practice.
Guest use: a child can also practice without any account or sign-up. In guest mode we do not collect a name, birthdate, or any profile information; practice results are not saved beyond the current session.
Usage & device data: standard technical data (browser type, device type, pages visited, approximate location from IP) collected via Google Analytics for all visitors, used in aggregate to understand product usage.
Evolmic Kids is designed to be used by children only through a profile that a Parent creates and controls. Children do not create their own accounts, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child beyond what the Parent enters on their behalf.
We limit what is collected about a child to what is reasonably necessary for the service: a display name/nickname (not a legal full name), an emoji avatar (no photo uploads), date of birth, and practice results. We do not require or request a child’s email address, physical address, or phone number.
No behavioral advertising to children. Any screen a child can reach directly — profile selection, the practice/quiz flow, and results — never shows personalized or interest-based ads, and we do not use a child’s activity data for ad targeting or ad retargeting. If advertising is shown anywhere on Evolmic Kids, it appears only on Parent-authenticated pages (such as the parent dashboard), reached after Parent login, and never inside the child’s practice experience.
Parental rights. A Parent can, at any time, review, edit, or delete their child’s profile and practice history from the dashboard, or by contacting us at the address below. A Parent can also refuse to allow further collection of their child’s information and request deletion of their account entirely.
If you believe a child has provided us with information beyond what a Parent knowingly submitted, contact us and we will investigate and delete it promptly.
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage. If we display advertising through Google AdSense, it is shown only on Parent-facing pages reached after login (such as the dashboard) for Parents on the free plan — never on pages a child accesses directly, and never using a child’s activity data. Subscribers do not see ads.
Google may use cookies to serve ads and measure their performance. You can review or opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings, and learn how Google uses data from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with:
We retain account and child profile data for as long as the account is active. A Parent can delete a child profile or their entire account at any time from the dashboard, or by emailing us; we delete the associated data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, billing, or security reasons.
We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls) to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If you access Evolmic Kids from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where applicable data protection laws (such as the EU/UK GDPR) grant additional rights, we honor those rights for the users they cover.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes affecting how we handle children’s information will be highlighted on this page with an updated effective date.
